Carita S. Johnson

Carita S. Johnson BRISTOL, Tenn. Carita S. Johnson, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at her residence. She was born February 3, 1917, a daughter to David Clay Lewis and Chelsie Blevins Lewis. She had lived in the Bristol area since 1979. Prior to moving to Bristol, Carita owned a restaurant in Jenkins, Ky. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Jenkins, Ky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ross Johnson. Survivors: daughter, Pat Passaro and husband Tony; grandchildren, A.J. Passaro and wife Mande, Jason Passaro and wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Kylee Passaro, Izzy Passaro, Siena Passaro; brothers, Loyd Lewis, Dayton Lewis, Bill Lewis; sister, Lola Honeycutt; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Blevins Cemetery in Shady Valley, Tenn. The family will receive friends from 12-2 prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Jason Passaro, A.J. Passaro, Tony Passaro, Bill Lewis, Loyd, Lewis and Dayton Lewis. The family would like to give special recognition to Bill Lewis for the care he has provided to Carita over the past several years.
