Carl Biebel
Carl E. Biebel was born in Belleville, Ill., on Aug. 19, 1926, to Ina and Michael Biebel.
Carl joined the navy in 1943, and served as a Hospital Apprentice on the U.S.S. Relief. Carl married Marie Buehler in 1948. He worked in the family business Biebel Roofing Company in Belleville Ill., before moving to Cape Coral.
Carl and his family were on of the first Pioneers in Cape Coral, moving here in 1960. He came to Cape Coral to start his own building company, C & D Builders. Where he built numerous buildings, one of them was his wife's flower shop- Marie's Flowers & Gift which was one of the first buildings on Cape Coral Pkwy. They owned that company for 30 years. He started C & D Marine Construction and was one of the leading marine contractors in Cape Coral until he retired in 1991. In 1994 they sold their flower shop and started traveling. He had a full life and was the best husband, daddy, and grandpa in the world.
He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, a charter and life member of the VFW 8463, American Legion 90, and Fraternal Order of Eagles 3957.
He was preceded in death by his twin daughters, Pamela VanPelt, Patricia Rhodes; his parents; brother, Kenneth; and sister, Sis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Marie Biebel; daughters, Ruth Lambert of Ft. Myers Beach and Jane (David) Southwick of Cape Coral; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Dear Marie and Family,
I have very fond memories as a little girl, my parents Bill & Mary Schaefer brought me to your home many times and I played with your girls. We shared lots of good food and fun. My sincere condolences to you and your family for your loss. Mary Carolyn (Schaefer) Eaton and Family

I knew Carl as one of the few people who walked into the Building Dept. with a smile - and a joke. He will be missed. My sincere sympathy to his family.

Marie, you and the children have our deepest sympathies at the loss of Carl. I remember when he would pester Ruey (Joseph) before Ruey and I married, but he was a good cousin and we loved him. We would ice skate on Stolberg Lake when Carl was a little tot. My feet would freeze, and Uncle Mike and Aunt Ina would soak them in COLD water to make them warm!!
Marie, this is my first attempt at sending a message this way so hope it makes sense. Janice saw the write-up about Carl in the Belleville paper and called me and Nick, Jr.
Do we have an address for you and/or the Hospice?
With love and sympathey, Marie
cousin Marilyn Weber Edelen.

I remember Carl from the 1930s, his mom & dad and my mom & dad were very good friends and would often get together.
