Carl Everett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 1, 2011.
Samuel Carl Everett
November 13, 1953 – April 1, 2011

There are those among us who walk this earth for a short time but touch our lives for a lifetime. Carl Everett was one of those special people. Carl was born November 13, 1953 in Mendenhall, Mississippi and left his earthly home to join his Heavenly Father on April 1, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Carl graduated with a bachelors and masters degree from Mississippi State University. Upon graduation he was employed by Champion International. He then began a career as a Petroleum Landman with Amoco Oil Company and later became an independent businessman. Carl had a love of raising horses and enjoyed hunting, fishing and many outdoor activities. He was a member of West Conroe Baptist Church and had a love for singing in the church choir.
Carl was a man who loved giving to others and his warm spirit touched all that knew him. His faith and salvation was of upmost importance and he never missed a chance to share that love.

Carl is survived by his wife Stacy and daughter Georgia Ann, in addition to many special friends and family. He was preceded in death by his son McKay who he has now joyfully joined in Heaven.

Services for Carl will be held at West Conroe Baptist Church on Monday April 4, 2011 at 10:00am with Myron Burris officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Bartlett, Cody Bartlett, Joe Morton, Dustin Morton, Joel Littlefield, Ken Walker, Lynn Wilburn, and John Husbands. Visitation will be held on Sunday April 3, 2011 from 3:00-6:00 in the evening at Metcalf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. We only knew the two of you for a short period of time while his office was in the same building. But we could tell the two of you were very special people. What a wonderful gift that God gave the two of you in Georgia. Please accept our sympathies.

Stacy
Sorry I missed the services. I was thinking the funeral was Tuesday. I will have a cold one for the good guys and say farewell to a fallen comrade. He was a good man, gone too soon.
God Bless,

If there is one thing to gain from this terrible loss, it is the knowledge that we should not hesitate to reconnect with old friends, regardless of the time and space between us. I was fortunate enough to share a little bit with Carl on Facebook. I regret that I never had the chance to visit with him again since our high school days long ago. But special people are always special and I know Carl will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.
