William Barbour Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 20, 2023.
William Henry Barbour, of Preston, MD, died peacefully at home on Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was 74 years old. Born on March 25,1948 in Baltimore, Mr. Barbour was the son of the late William Barbour and Mary Bonaccorsi Barbour.

Bill got his GED and enlisted in the Navy and headed to Vietnam where he served aboard the USS Power. After returning home he enrolled in some classes at Catonsville Community College. In 2007, Heather Love and he caught each other's eye, they married and decided to move to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. They settled in Preston and for the past 12 years, Bill worked as a maintenance tech for Queen Ann's Park and Recreations.

Music was Bill's passion. He was a southern rocker with extreme singing abilities. When he wasn't singing and playing guitar, Bill was a falconer raising and training hawks. Even though Mr. Barbour enjoyed his hobbies, nothing compared to time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Mr. Barbour is survived by his wife, Heather Love-Barbour, of Preston, MD; three children: William "Billy" Barbour, of Glen Burnie, Kyle Barbour, of Glen Burnie, MD and Madison Love-Barbour of Preston, MD; grandchildren: Chloe Barbour and Aiden Barbour, both of Glen Burnie; siblings: Jeri Rizzo, Maria Byrd, John Barbour, and Lex Barbour. Besides Bill's parents, he is also preceded in death by siblings: Verna Stahoviac and Janet Baker.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 1:30 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton, MD, where friends may call from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM. The interment will be private.
