It was with great sadness that I recently learned of the passing of my Yale friend and former teammate. Carl Knobloch. Carl was the leader of one of the best fencing teams that Yale had fielded in some time and I recall with great pleasure the good times that we shared. My deepest condolences go out to Emily, Sylvia and all the family.

I just heard and immediately pleasant POI memories flashed in my mind. Life is precious and we must always remember, "In the blink of an eye, everything can change. So forgive often and love with all your heart. You may never know when you may not have that chance again". Throughout his years, Carl touched a magnitude of and a varitety of folks.

Dear Emily and Carla,
I was saddened to hear of Carl's passing. To me, he was always one of those men that would insist on living forever....too much to be done and not enough time to do it. Many of the interests and accomplishments, mentioned in his obituary, were unknown to me but I'm certainly not surprised to learn of them.
In the words of Vin Scully, "Be sad that it's over but be happy that it happened."
Our most sincere sympathies,
Al and Jenny Richards
