Carl Landers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 10, 2010.
Carl "Willie" Landers, 51, passed away Monday evening, November 8th due to complications from a recent serious illness, surrounded by his close family.

We will miss his passion for Nascar, heavy equipment, his truck and his "toys", his family and friends, and just as importantly, Tucker Boy.

He is survived by his mom "the old bird", Lillian Landers of Brewster, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Traci and Gary Woodland of Orleans, Daphne and Don Marino of Brewster, and Inger and Danny Montgomery of Brewster, his nieces Ashley Woodland Boucher and her husband Guy, Brynn Woodland, Devin and Lauren Montgomery, and his only nephew, Garrett Montgomery. He was also fortunate to have enjoyed time with his great nieces Olivia and Sophia Boucher, and to have introduced his great nephew, Hayden Boucher, to his world of bulldozers! A special thank you to Ray Shippee for being a great friend and "brother" for many years.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 12th from 5pm-8pm, in the Nickerson Funeral Home,77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans. A celebration of Willie's life will be held on Sunday, November 14th at 4pm at the Courthouse at the Old Jailhouse Tavern in Orleans. In lieu of flowers, we request any donations in his memory be made to Cape Cod Hospital in recognition of Dr. Kevin Mulroy, whom we cannot thank enough for his compassion.

Will Landers. I can remember as little boys we often shared lunch of PB&J with our favorite, Kraft macaroni & cheese . Of playing together at your grand dad's shop( Ray & Berle's )and as boys of ten or eleven years old making mini bike trails in the woods all around my house and spending some of the days of summer swiming at Baker's Pond. I cannot believe that your life on this earth is over now. It really hurts to know that in an instant you are gone. It seems like only yesterday we were teen ager's looking for the next party and trying to hook up with girls. Having an absolute BLAST with Bob Jordan, Tim Page, the Towmey Bros from Chatham and so many others. We had more fun than a person deserves to have !!! Now our youth is gone and so are you. I will remember for the rest of my days on this earth how much fun we had together and how we " PUSHED THE ENVELOPE" in our quest to have as much fun as possible. You will be missed Willie - Just know that every one of us will be with you again soon. With as much love as a person has to give, Jim Doucette and what remains of the Doucette Family. "REST IN PEACE DEAR FRIEND"
