Carl Merolli, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carl F. Merolli, Jr., who left us peacefully on March 19th, 2025 at the age of 83. Born on March 31st, 1941 in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of Carl Merolli and Stasia Merolli (Klaska). He grew up in Naugatuck, CT and went on to live a life full of love, wisdom and strength. Carl was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, cherished by all who knew him for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor.

He was predeceased by his father, mother and son, Christopher Merolli, whom he has missed deeply. He leaves behind his wife, Laverne Merolli. His two daughters Lisa Pilla and spouse Jeff Pilla, and Carah Merolli and spouse Stanley Pachica. Three amazing grandsons Mason Pachica, Logan Pilla and Christian Apiscopa who will miss him dearly. His brother Dr. Roy Merolli and spouse Hilda Merolli, his brother-in-law Carl Brandt and spouse Pam Brandt, any many adored nieces, nephews and his cousins from Pennsylvania.

Carl dedicated his life to his family working tirelessly to make a beautiful life for us, which he sure accomplished. He had many fond memories throughout his career at UniRoyal, General Electric, and Tetley Tea. He loved the outdoors and nature. Taking care of his lawn and pool brought him great pride, and while he wasn't able to do these things the last few years of his life, he found joy in bird watching, coin collecting and watching old westerns and episodes of Dr. Who. He touched the lives of many through his work and his unwavering support of his family.

A special thank you is extended to Marc Ciampi, MD and staff for the compassionate care and support given throughout Carl's illness. Thank you for always keeping his goals at the forefront of your care. Our family is incredibly grateful for your dedication and kindness shown during this time.

A memorial mass will be held on April 12th, 2025 at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville, CT at 11am. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of this remarkable man. Rest in peace, Dad. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved you.
