To the family of Carl Mitchell Jr
I did not know Carl very well. l served in LU12075. I believe Carl was a Trustee at one time. He struck me as being willing to do the hard work when it was needed. Many people benefit from Carls's effort and many are not even aware of it. We will keep him in our prayers.

Aunt Karen & Family,
I'm so glad I had a chance to spend a little time with Uncle John and you in January. What a character. How he loved to "spin" a tale. I remember a couple of them. He would be talking with the Aunts and you just didn't know if he was pulling their chain or if what he was telling them really had happened. As he was speaking, I always needed to look at his eyes...when he got that gleam in them and started smiling I knew he was reeling them in.

I wish I could be there, but know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

P.S. Uncle Johnny can now have all the roast beef and gravy he wants!!

Dear Karen,
I'm so sorry to hear about John's passing. I'm an old friend of Dave's and he and I had just talked a few days ago, but when I asked about John, I guess I still didn't understand that it was so close to the end. On behalf of myself and my family, our hearts and our thoughts are with you in this difficult and sad time. ..and to you John, you were good man who loved his family, a good friend to many, admired and respected. So there's a lot to celebrate for your life. And though you'll be missed, I'm sure the next phase of your journey will be a blessed as the one you're leaving! Adios for now amigo, mas tardes, J. D.
