To the Popp Family: My sincere sympathy on your loss. Carl was my Dad's (and my) cousin. Every time I saw him, he told me amusing stories about the trouble he and my grandfather, Tom Zinninger got into in the old days. Carl was quite a fellow, and I'll never forget him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

The community of St. Joe Hill lost a good man. Good leader, solid work ethic, great kids and a great extended family. My condolences to particularly Anthony, Ralph and Alvin as you were my grade school buddies. The Turkey Shoots will be a bit different without your dad around. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you guys.
