I was grateful for the opportunity to see Pat, Rich, Bill, Jack and Kurt today, to revive memories about Carl and all of you. But it occurred to me afterwards that somehow the famous carpool escaped mention. For years, I mostly drove Ben Dowding, Bill McArdle, and Carl to work and back, through snowstorms and horrific traffic (except when I was somewhere else in the world). We parked in the basement of he US Steel building. All kept up a great conversation full of wit and comradery. I know he was a great family man, but there may have been whole weeks that Carl spent more time with me than he did with one of you. Lang Krayer

Many great memories of time spent with the Radke family. What I remember the most is the powerful force of love Mr. Radke showed for all of his children and their friends. Rest in peace Mr. Radke.
