PORT CLINTON - Carl R. Stricklen III, 45, of Port Clinton, died Wednesday morning, April 8, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Toledo, OH, on May 13, 1963.
He was the owner and operator of PC Builder & Home Repair and also worked for Orgo Thermit as a welder.
Carl is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sharon (Merle) Stricklen; son, Michael Scott Stricklen, Port Clinton, OH; step children, Tracie (Eric) Swinehart, Port Clinton, OH, and Timothy (Ann) Arnold II, Lindsey, OH; grandchildren, Ethan Hetrick and Nicholas Arnold; sister, Rosemary (Tom) McClennan, Columbus, OH; and brother, Todd Lee (Dawn) Stricklen, Toledo, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl R. and Janet (Liveley) Stricklen Jr.; and grandparents.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 1 p.m. in the Church of God of Prophecy, 423 Garfield Dr., Port Clinton, OH. Rev. Earl Taylor will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
The Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be shared at www.toftfh.com.
