Swaggert, Carl William Longtime resident of Wayzata, and Marine veteran, died on Jan. 29, 2011, at the age 88 years. He was a kind, strong, gentle man, beloved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Peg) Swaggert; and his son, Chris Swaggert. He is survived by his children & their spouses, Anne & Jim Hoeschen, Craig Swaggert & Tanna Moore, Carl & Beth Swaggert, Kit Swaggert & Tim O'Brien, Jill & Bruce Frederickson, Matt & Suzann Swaggert, Joel & Linda Swaggert, Julie Swaggert; and his sister, Jacque Gordon, as well as 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Bev Hood and Nathan Wheeler for their loving care. Sorry for your loss...and ours as well. Carl helped me when I was hurt as a little girl and when Samuel was born. Ben & I loved to play cards and have popovers. I miss both Peg and Carl so much.
