Carl Swaggert Obituary

Swaggert, Carl William Longtime resident of Wayzata, and Marine veteran, died on Jan. 29, 2011, at the age 88 years. He was a kind, strong, gentle man, beloved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Peg) Swaggert; and his son, Chris Swaggert. He is survived by his children & their spouses, Anne & Jim Hoeschen, Craig Swaggert & Tanna Moore, Carl & Beth Swaggert, Kit Swaggert & Tim O'Brien, Jill & Bruce Frederickson, Matt & Suzann Swaggert, Joel & Linda Swaggert, Julie Swaggert; and his sister, Jacque Gordon, as well as 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Bev Hood and Nathan Wheeler for their loving care. Memorials may be made in Carl's name to Allina Hospice and Twin Cities Public Television (in memory of Lawrence Welk) Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel 1400 Mainstreet Hopkins 952 938-9020

Sorry for your loss...and ours as well. Carl helped me when I was hurt as a little girl and when Samuel was born. Ben & I loved to play cards and have popovers. I miss both Peg and Carl so much.
