To Carls' family, my Sister and I would like to express our sincere condolences. We grew up in the country as neighbors,I left the area in 1965, but Martha continued living there another 20 years. We both remember him as a kind and gentle human being and a good neighbor. May God bless his family.

I had the great privilege of being a class mate of Carl's and played basketball with him from Junior High at Madison Rural through Senior High at Madison South. We graduated together from Madison South in 1961. He continued his education and I joined the Air Force as a career Airman. Carl is in a far better place and is no longer suffering. He will be missed but he has left his mark affecting many lives during his time on earth. Love you Carl and will join you one day.

I had the privilege of working with Carl at the Jamestown OH post office. Truly one of the finest gentlest souls I have ever known. An absolute professional as well as a gentlemen. We who worked with him are all better as human beings for having had the pleasure of his company. I hope his family finds peace at this difficult time. Carl will truly be missed.....

Carl delivered mail to our church cheerfully every day for many years. I always appreciated his testimony to Christ even when he didn't physically feel good.

Dear Whitaker family,
Unfortunately, I did not know Carl personally, but I know that he was a great man, as I can see the fruit of his labors in his son, Cody, whom I know well. I don't know a better person than Cody, full of integrity, kindness and a strong faith in Christ. It is a testament to what a great teacher and example Carl was. I share your feelings of loss and you have my deepest and most sincere sympathies, but more than that...so much more than that, I rejoice in your sure knowledge that he "remained faithful until death and finished the race".
