Carla Jean Bodin

Carla Jean Bodin, 41, Cloquet, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in her home. She was born June 8, 1963 in Cloquet, the daughter of Marvin and Nancy (Schubert) Bodin. Carla was a 1981 graduate of Cloquet High School. Throughout her life, Carla lived in several places including Oregon, Nebraska where she worked at Cabela's, Minneapolis and she returned back to Cloquet in 1992 where she attended and graduated from Fond du Lac Community College in 1996 and was currently employed by Senior Friends. Carla was a nursing assistant with a goal of becoming a licensed nurse. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, AA and the Outreach Center in Cloquet. Carla enjoyed camping, fishing and going for walks. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Eugene Schubert; paternal grandparents, Carl and Dagmar Bodin and maternal great grandmother, Eva Allen. Carla was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her son, Tyler of Carlton; her parents, Marvin and Nancy Bodin of Cloquet; two brothers, Mark (Jill) Bodin of Cloquet and Scott (Laura) Bodin of Carlton; a niece and nephew, Megan and Alex Bodin; maternal grandmother, Elaine Schubert of Valparaiso, Ind.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and her beloved dog, Treasure. VISITATION:12 noon Friday until the 1 p.m. funeral service in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, followed by a luncheon in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
