Carlos Jerome Harris Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 18, 2024.
Carlos Jerome Harris was the youngest of five children born to Estus Sr. and Barbara Harris on September 20, 1976, in Gary, Indiana. Carlos passed away from this earthly realm on July 10, 2024 and entered into his heavenly rest.Throughout his youth and while attending Ambridge, Chase Elementary and Tolleston Middle school. He went on to attend Horace Mann High School, playing football there. He graduated from Martin Luther King Academy. Carlos developed meaningful, lifelong relationships with so many of his peers who lived in the neighborhood. Because of his height, 6'3", he was fondly known by many as 'Big Los', and his friendships have spanned over 40+ years. In 2002 Carlos began a career in transportation, driving trucks over the road and locally to support his growing family. Although Carlos was in church regular as a young boy it wasn't until after he settled down did he begin to take his walk with Christ to heart. Carlos was also diagnosed with a chronic illness. However he was still able to have a successful trucking business and went on to pastor Divine Restoration Outreach Ministries.

Carlos was proceeded in death by his grandparents, parents Estus and Barbara: siblings, EvaLee, Tito, and Rhonda. Carlos leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Litisha: daughters Karlise, Essence, AhlayaJoy, Raven, R' Monee, son, Willie: grandchildren Ka'Mya, Aaliyah, Brooklyn Sunni, Jianna and River; siblings, Ingrid Cookie, Gregory (Theresa), Traci (Christopher), Estus, Jr.:, Aunts Geraldine, Marie, Uncle Tolin: a great number of cousins Harris, Link family, a host of childhood friends who all deserve special mention, an innumerable amount of ministers and friends in the Humble/ Spring, Texas area and so many, many more.We would like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for your outpour of love and support during our time of bereavement.
