Carlotta Lane Pilja

With heavy yet peaceful hearts we announce that our mother Carlotta Pilja passed in the presence of our Savior on December 12 2022. Carla will be remembered for her incredible laugh and love for Jesus. Such a faithful servant and passionate teacher of the gospel. She could make you cry in happiness and laugh in hysterics and cover you in goosebumps all in one chat. And she told it like it is!

A faithful servant who taught us Jesus is the only King and planted a seed in everyone she met. We have peace in knowing she is home.

Carlotta such a smart woman who raised five kids mostly alone. She battled breast cancer when the kids were all younger. The day she began her treatments she arrived back home sick and worn only to find her home had just burnt to the ground. But her faith was not broken.

When Carlotta's father said she needed to get an education , she went and got one. She worked , went to school, cared for her kids and still walked across that stage with her Dad there to watch his Carla get her degree. She became a social worker and there she sprinkled love and Jesus into everyone she met.

Carla was the eldest of seven kids. She has always been a caregiver nearly her whole life. First to her siblings ,then her own children, then the elderly. She brought all of her clients to know Jesus. That's where her true happiness was. Just as her favorite bible verse says: Truly, Truly I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God- John 3:3. She didn't want anyone to miss out so she gave it her all.

Her sister Ellen won the race and beat her to Heaven, also her Mom and Dad Sheila and Walter are there welcoming her. Those of us still waiting are her three brothers Michael, Geoff and Brow, her two sisters Melanie and Katie. Her five children the twinkies Michelle and Melody, Tony, Shawn and Christiana. And a lot a lot of wonderful grand and great grand kids.

1000 days on earth is only 1 day in Heaven so you'll be seeing us soon Mom. We love you.
