Carmen Adair Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 12, 2025.
Carmen Adair (Bennett), 66, of Winter Haven, FL, passed peacefully into heaven's embrace on September 7, 2025, surrounded by her family after a courageous, nearly decade-long battle with cancer.

Raised in Dundee, FL, Carmen was a warm and loving soul with a smile and laugh that could light up any room. She lived life with joy, made friends wherever she went, and poured her heart into the people she loved most.

Her greatest happiness was being "Shuggy" to her seven grandchildren, cheering them on in every milestone and moment. She also cared for countless children over the years, who came to know and love her by the same special name.

Carmen is survived by her husband, Rodney Adair; her children and their spouses, Lyle Bagley (Tiffany), Lindsey Winget (Lance), and Audrey Adair-Keene (Samuel); and her beloved grandchildren, Carter, Cash, Charlee, Cameron, Kipton, Keaton, and Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents William (Gray) and Louise, sisters Jeannette and Sandra, and brother William (Bill).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Tom Fellows Community Center, 207 North Blvd W, Davenport, FL. The family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 am with the ceremony starting at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon. Guests are encouraged to dress casually and comfortably. All are welcome to join in honoring Carmen's life.

In place of flowers, the family invites you to consider a donation in Carmen's memory to the American Cancer Society or Moffitt Cancer Center.

Though she is deeply missed, Carmen's legacy of love and laughter will live on in her family, and we take comfort in knowing she is whole and at peace in heaven.
