Carmen D. Salinas age 59 of Clovis NM died Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at San Antonio Catholic Church in Logan. Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 3, 2007, at San Antonio Catholic Church with Deacon Bobby Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Logan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alberto Viegas, Jonathon Carver, Jesse Carver, Paul Sena, Cody Morrison, Jaime De La Cruz, Rudy De La Cruz, Penny Sisneros, and Julian Cordova Jr.
Carmen was born June 30, 1948, to E.J. and Josephine Ramirez Viasana in Logan, NM. She came to Clovis from Logan in 2002. She worked for Clovis Steam Laundry and was a member of the San Antonio Catholic Church, Ladies Aux of American Legion, and the Carmelites of San Antonio Catholic Church.
Survivors include her companion Emilio Salinas; two sons, Louis (Misty) Salinas of Clovis, NM, and Lorenzo (Sandy) Salinas of Tucumcari, NM; a daughter, Josephina (Joel) Salinas Robles of Chihuahua, Mexico; a brother, E.J. "Max" Viasana of Logan, NM; two sisters, Victoria Carver of Clovis, NM, and Lorinda Bowers of Clovis, NM; and five grandchildren, Ruby Robles Salinas, Regina Robles Salinas, Rylie Brown, Katherine Sena, and Kaitlyn Sena. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.J. and Josphine Viasana; a sister, Patsy Viasana and two brothers, Lawrence Viasana, and Steve Viasana.
