Carol J. Beasley YORK - Carol J. Beasley, 77, of 103 Education Lane, made his final journey to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, March 8, 2014, after a period of declining health at his home in York, S.C. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Bratton Funeral Home, with Dr. Elwood Seemster officiating and the Rev. Mike Thompson and Mr. Ed Grose assisting. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial with Military Honors will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Carol was a son of the late Harve J. Beasley and Lena Shepherd Beasley. A native of Sylva, N.C., he had lived in York, S.C., for over 41 years. Carol retired from Hoechst Celanese and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, Clover, S.C., for over 25 years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Beasley of York; a daughter, Tammy Cooke of Travelers Rest, S.C.; a son, Carl Jay Beasley of Rock Hill, S.C.; a sister, Marie Parker of Kentucky; eight granchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by six sisters, Alice Fox, Mattie Deitz, Ola Deitz, Winnie Dillard, Etta Frizzell and Evelyn Wellmon.
