Carol passed away peacefully at home, under the care of Hospice on August 29th, 2022, She was surrounded by her beloved family. Some family members that were unable to travel, were able to FaceTime with her prior to her passing. This was especially important for her 98 yr. old Mother. She was deeply loved by her family and friends, and and maintained those connections throughout her lifetime. She grew up in Wilton Manors, Florida where she attended Pine Crest Preparatory School. She was the second child of four girls. She moved to Germany at age sixteen with her family, then returned to the US, to attend college at the University of Georgia. . She was highly intelligent and excelled throughout school. She received her Masters degree with honors in Education. She moved to Boston, where she taught Special Education, and eventually because a Vice Principal. It was in Boston where she met her husband, Perry Gignoux. They had two children. Matthew and Molly. Matthews passing precipitated Carols. The loss of one of her children was a tremendous heartache for her, but she pushed forward. She was a wonderful and caring Mother. She was loved and adored by many. Her humor was infectious and many will never forget her wonderful laugh. She really was the "Life of the Party". Carol loved animals, especially her Scobeedoo, and she supported numerous Wildlife Foundations. Her favorite was, Defenders of Wildlife. She loved Wolves and would visit them at their Sanctuary. She loved to travel and went alone to India and Tibet. She had become a Buddhist and the journey was especially meaningful for her. Carol was an avid Reader and also enjoyed Writing. She created a coaching business based on her own struggles with ADHD and wrote a book called, "Your Innovator Brain". She was a hard worker and was a Pioneer in Executive Functioning Skills. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Molly, her Mother, Sisters, and her many friends and people she worked with and coached. Carol was a larger than life Individual whom we all loved dearly.

Reflecting on Carlo and how she saved me. She understood things I could not articulate.
I miss everything about her.

I am a former client of Carol's ADHD coaching, and recently found out she passed when I wanted to pass on her name to someone else needing support. I worked with her during 2021, and she helped me take charge of my life and my business in a way I've never been able to before. I also had some health challenges during that time, and she supported me with warmth and compassion while staying positive during her own health struggles. I know it's been quite some time but I want her family to know how many people she has helped. She truly changed my life. I know she loved animals so I have made a donation to Defenders of Wildlife in her name. She will be remembered and loved by many <3

I found Carol via ADHD resources online and we worked together virtually throughout most of 2021 and the first couple of months of 2022. We spoke briefly of her health challenges on several occasions. I just today came across the news of her passing. She was a gentle soul - yet strong and firm when needed, which is exactly what I needed in our work together. I spend decades struggling in my efforts and career and Carol was who and what I needed at the right time. I'm now thriving and am happier in my career and life balance than I have ever been (now 52). Thank you, Carol for blessing so many with your kindness and strength. Your energy courses through so many people and places in such positive ways.

I am so sad to just find out about Carols passing. We met at Chamber and became immediate friends. We shared that we were both from Massachusetts. I loved our conversations and will miss Carol very much. God Bless her soul.

Carol was one of the first people I met when I moved to Athens, Ga. She was intelligent and forthright, serving as a role model to many of the young women she knew. She was highly respected and is missed.
