July 24, 1945 - July 6, 2017
Carol A. Chockey, age 71 of Fairfield, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 6, 2017 peacefully in her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Julian) Nieuwboer and Carl Nieuwboer.
Survivors include her three sons; William J. Chockey Jr. and wife Claudia, Richard A. Chockey and wife Tanya, and Jamie A. Chockey and fiancée Madeline Nelson, her two daughters; Cheryl A. Chockey and Candace L. Chockey. She also leaves behind a nephew, Marty Brunori and seven loving grandchildren; Brett Chockey, Brody Casa, William Chockey III, Brianna, Shane Chockey and Richie, Alyssa Chockey. She was predeceased by her brother, Skip Nieuwboer, and her niece, Kristy Nieuwboer.
Family and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Rd., Fairfield. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
