Happy birthday, Carol. I hope you are enjoying a heavenly birthday....free from your earthly body that was giving you so much pain! I miss you!

I had a crush on Carol during the 7th and 8th grades at Northside Junior High School in Columbus, Indiana. I first met her in science class in the 7th grade. In the 9th grade, if I remember correctly, she was also a member of the school yearbook staff. Even as a teenager, she was bright and cheerful, and fun to be around. She was also a skillful tennis player. My family moved away after the 9th grade, and I am sorry I never asked her out.

I met Carol the day I was interviewed for my job at CEi (now Kratos) in 2008 and we had an instant connection. I refer to Carol as my second mom. She was there for me when my mom could not physically be there. She was one of the brightest lights in my life and I will miss her shared experiences and advice. Carol - you will always be in my heart, and I will miss you so incredibly much for the rest of my life. You raised an amazing family and I will miss all the stories you used to share with me.

Carol's dedication to her family and her work shown through daily with co-workers such as myself. In her work she focused on solutions and efficiency, yet provided reminders of what was important by asking her co-workers how they were doing, and a quick chat about what was new with the families. I very much enjoyed our tag ups knowing she'd push our Kratos team for excellence with a sincere interest in team members. Lifting her, and her family and friends, in prayer.

I was fortunate enough to work with Carol for 4 years, I knew from my first phone interview with her she was a very kind person. She was a great leader and I miss our long stories and conversations outside of our workplace. Sending my sincere condolences to the Conoley Family and Friends, God Bless you.

Even from first meeting Carol I was impressed by her quick wit, meaningful comments and her easy smile. Her devotion to family and friends soon after were evident too. I appreciated her gracious welcome when she hosted our book group. It´s good to have known her.

I met Carol about 35 years ago back when I owned a muffin bakery in East Sacramento. She and Bill were regular customers and later after Hannah was born, she would visit along with them.
Carol and I struck up a friendship outside of the muffin store where we love to chat about great recipes and books that we had read.
At Christmas time Carol hosted fabulous Christmas parties that we look forward to each year because we knew we would have great food and fellowship there!
I´m so thankful for that friendship!

Carol always delighted me with her hearty chuckle, huge smile, dry wit and insightful discussion of the books we all read together. It always surprised me that she preferred fiction to nonfiction, and she was quite vociferous about that!!
