I hold an image of the CHS Class of 1965 Senior Follies, and Carol is on stage performing "Kids" from the musical "Bye Bye Birdie". She sings with gusto and complete abandon and we sit mesmerized. My memory doesn't work the way it used to, but that image is the way I see and will always remember Carol. I had such fun reconnecting with her at our reunion in 2011. Be at peace, my friend. Until we meet again....

All day yesterday, the news about Carol weighed heavily on my thoughts. As I wrote on Facebook, Carol was a classmate and a Facebook friend. I was an admirer of the vibrant, positive attitude that was her mantra. She was a phenomenal example of making the most of what was handed to you. I know Carnegie and all her friends there and around the USA have tears in their eyes. To her friends and family, I offer my thoughts, prayers, and condolences.

As with many of us contributing to this Guest Book, Carol and I go waaay back to our earliest time at school. Through the years, Carol demonstrated daily loyalty and devotion, caring and concern to family, friends, classmates and co-workers -- even strangers were made to feel warm and welcomed by Carol's embracing personality...
Long a proud and prominent member of our Carnegie and civic community, Carol's effervescence and love of life shone through, no matter what she was doing.
Thoughts and prayers to her dear family -
Carol will be well-remembered by us all...

Cindy,Cheryl,Jeff and Jeffrey:
This year Christmas in Carnegie will be missing it's brightest light. I know from first hand experience that Carol lit up thousands of children's and senior citizens eyes over the years as she brought Santa to the borough building and the Carnegie Retirement Residence.
I will really miss her smiling face.
She is in my prayers as well as Mrs. Claus and all the elves.
Carol was a truly remarkable person.

Dear Family and Friends

My first memory of Carol was an invitation to all of us (the Rennerdale Crowd) to her birthday party.

My outfit was ready but I got the measles and remember crying because I wanted to go so much.

Over the years, we have stayed close with Carol (Judy Hilton, Janie Chilton, Cathy Brandebura and myself).

Nearly a month ago, we visited with her and like Cathy said - she put up a good front for us.

While we are indeed saddened to not have her on earth, we are forever blessed with her Spirit.
