Carol A. Currie

Carol A. (Carey) Currie, of Holbrook, passed away on May 6, 2016, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 77. Born in Boston, Carol has been a resident of Holbrook since 1959. She worked as an endoscopy technician at the Brockton Hospital for 20 years. Carol was an active member of her community in Holbrook where she served on the Council of Aging and past President of the Josepheens at St. Joseph Church. Carol was the beloved wife of William A. Currie. Loving mother of Cheryl DeFilippis and her husband Michael of East Falmouth, Scott Currie and his wife Kathryn of Centerville, Kathleen DeWolfe and her husband Bernie of Holbrook, Jaqueline Morgan and her husband James of Holbrook, William Currie, III of Easton and the late Jeffrey Currie. Devoted sister of Robert Carey and his wife Victoria of Holbrook and the late Charles Arthur Carey; daughter of the late Ruth Francione. Dear grandmother of David, Jaimie, Kaeleigh, Daniel, Billy, Sean, Kendra, Kristen, Elizabeth, Scott, Joshua and Hanna and great grandmother of A.J., Joey, Anthony, Madison, Nicholas, Cayden, Rosalind and Helena. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 68 So. Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook until 9 a.m. on Thursday followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 153 So. Franklin St., Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 | 8 p.m. Burial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
