Carol McDermott Guebert

I first met Carol in 1965 when I was a British student travelling round the USA that summer and I was introduced by friends of friends. I was invited to stay for a week (or maybe a little longer) in early September to help Carol with the 3 youngest children (pre-Libby) whilst Judy and Evie were starting school. I was made to feel so welcome and it was wonderful to stay with such a lovely family. Over the years I introduced my family (husband Alan and daughter Abbie) to my adopted American family either when we visited the US or they came over to the UK. Carol was such a lovely, hospitable, warm, fun, interesting person and I know she will be hugely missed by the family and everyone who knew her. Rest in peace, Carol.
