Carol Hodges Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 18, 2024.
Carol Ann Hodges (née LaBate) was the most vivacious and unique shade of pink, a hue that has now, on January 26, 2024, danced away from Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Born to paint the world with her rosy outlook on October 23, 1945, in Denver, Carol's 78 years were a masterclass in adding color to the canvas of everyday life.

Carol cherished her family and their successes and embraced all with joy and pride. Between chapters of nurturing her children and grandchildren, she played the roles of restaurateur and domestic caretaker with a grace that made her multitasking look like a breezy waltz.

As an avid reader, music lover, and flower admirer, Carol's leisure was a garden of literary delights and musical blooms. Pink, in all its glory, was not just her signature color but also an expression of her personal brand of joy. Her life? A pink parade in a world often too grey. Her laughter? A melody that could tickle the sternest of souls. Her sharp intellect danced elegantly through life's grandest debates.

Generosity was her signature move, with kindness spun with genuine care. Because she faced so many of life's biggest challenges, Carol's heart overflowed with compassion, ready to share with everyone, no matter where they were on life's path.

Leaving behind a legacy as bright as her favorite pinks, Carol is survived by her vibrant children, Louis Brindisi (Monica Brindisi), Jerry Brindisi (Hon. Jon Olafson), and Sabrina Brindisi, and her seven sparkling grandchildren, Shane, Justin, Vincent, Kristian, Eric, Dominic, and Rachel. Preceding her in the waltz into the stars are her parents, Guido and Marion (Farrell) LaBate, and her partner in the dance of life, Larry Hodges.

Carol Ann Hodges, the world may be a shade less pink without your presence, but the universe has gained a bloom that outshines the rest. Rest in peace, dear Carol, and may your next adventure be as colorfully splendid as the life you've painted here.
