Services for Mrs. Carol Kindig, age 58, of New Harmony, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, in the Friendly Baptist Church in Tyler with the Rev. Pat Alvey officiating. Interment will follow in the New Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale.

Mrs. Kindig went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014. in The Hospice of East Texas HomePlace in Tyler. She was born on Sept. 9, 1955, in Mineola to Emery F. and Effie Lee Glasscock Jones. Mrs. Kindig was employed by Brookshires Grocery Co. and was a member of the Friendly Baptist Church in Tyler, where she as an active member of the Dept. 5 Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her father, Emery F. Jones.

As a wife and mother, daughter, sister and friend, Carol showed the love of Jesus through her kind and thoughtful ways. Her commitment to regular church attendance showed her steadfast love for the Lord and prompted her to encourage others to seek Him as their Lord and Savior. She loved to laugh and enjoy life, and to spend quality time with those dear to her. Carol Kindig will be greatly missed! Until we see her in Heaven, may we rejoice in knowing she has heard these words from Jesus, "Well done, My good and faithful servant!"

Survived by husband, Stan L. Kindig, of New Harmony; two daughters, Kate Kindig and Anna Kindig, both of New Harmony; mother, Mrs. Effie Lee Jones, of Tyler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Betty Jones, and Kenneth and Ann Jones, all of Tyler; sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Toney Gregg, of Tyler; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Betty Kindig, of New Harmony; brother-in-law, Bob Kindig, of Kilgore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rick Ellis, Mark Lusk, Russ Jackson, Doug Boeh, Tim England and John Bristow.

Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home, 206 West South Street, Lindale.
