Carol Libutti Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 8, 2025.
Carol Jean Libutti passed away on July 6th, 2025 in Spokane Valley, Washington. Daughter of William (Bill) and Mildred (Mickey) Maynor, she was born December 7th, 1947 in San Marcos, Texas. Growing up with her brother William and sister Debra, Carol traveled to many places while her father served in the Air Force. Of all her childhood travels, her favorite place was Japan.

Life was never easy for Carol. She was faced with more than her fair share of challenges, but no matter how hard things got she met each day with determination. She loved her family, friends, and, most of all, a good story. Her stories, like her laugh, were big, bold, and unforgettable. She showed us how to find joy in simple moments and how to stay strong even when life didn't play fair.

Carol is survived by daughter Katie Libutti, brother William Maynor, sister Debra Wrobel, nieces Jessica Pratt, Melissa Sweetsir, and Andrea Danielson, nephew Matthew Wrobel, cousins Sandee Troy, Wendi Lindley, Paul Porter and Mike Porter.

At this time, there will be no formal service. The family will gather privately at a later date to spread her ashes and celebrate her life in the way she would have wanted...together with stories and laughter. Please take a moment to remember your time with Carol.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. My heart goes out to you but take confort in this; that my memories of her are a face always with a smile, kindness, and her laughter so quick and contagious it would overfill the house and echo down our street.

My heart is broken. I last spoke with Carol on her birthday. She always seemed so happy to hear from me.
She was a proud Sigma Kappa sister as well as a precious cousin.
I will treasure our times together. Rest well, sweet Carol. I love you!
