Prescott, AZ
Former Newbury Park and Ventura resident, Marcel L. Ginchereau, 86 of Prescott, Arizona, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 12, 2017.
Marcel was born on June 17, 1932 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He was a resident of Newbury Park and Ventura, prior to moving to Prescott 16 years ago.
He was an engineer working for Southern California Edison Company and retired at age 56. Marcel was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving 12 years and was in the Korean War.
He was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and going camping.
Marcel is survived by his sons: Mark Ginchereau and Matthew Ginchereau; his daughter: Deborah Ochoa; his sister: Theresa Cayson; his grandchildren: Garrett, Conner, Jeremy, Joshua, Tiana, and Vallerie; and his one great grandson: Stylez.
A Most Holy Rosary will be recited at a Vigil Service held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura. Friends and family are invited to visit from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.

The Sarnecki family is truly sorry for your loss. Connor spoke fondly of his Grandfather and I know both Lauren and Connor were sad they were not able to be there to say goodbye. May Marcel rest in peace and may your family and friends remember the love he had for all. Our respectful condolences to your family.

Marc will definitely be missed, he was one of the good guys. I worked with Marc at SCE for several years and saw him now and then here in Prescott. My condolences to his family on their loss of a truly fine man. Marc spoke of his visits to family and you could hear in his voice the love he had for them all.
