Carol Sander Roat on November 7, 2020. It is with sadness that I share the news of the passing of my mother-in-law, Carol Sander Roat. She attended Nazareth Academy and worked at Philadelphia Savings Fund Society (PSFS), Philadelphia Carbide in Oreland, PA, and Sander Memorials in Bridesburg. She was proud to be the third generation to carry on her family business. Carol was known for her generosity in the community, serving on the Bridesburg Business Association Board and the Board of the Bridesburg Boys and Girls Club for many years. Carol was a proud member of the 1963 Class of Nazareth Academy. She was a loving mother to my husband, Ryan, and incredibly supportive of me. Her greatest joy was her wonderful grandsons, Franklin and Oscar. Nana delighted in all of their antics and achievements. Carol is predeceased by her parents, August F. Sander and Mildred Sander (nee Keck). Carol was blessed by her sister Joan and brother-in-law, Jay and many beloved cousins, whom she was devoted to. Following in her family tradition, Carol owned and operated the Sander Memorial Company serving Bridesburg and the general Philadelphia Area. She was called "Sandy" by many friends and her Heintz family in-laws. She was someone who celebrated happy occasions with gusto and stood by us all in our darkest hours, as well. This wonderful and loyal woman will be dearly missed by all.

I am so sad to learn of dear Sandy's passing. Her supportive and caring personality and joy she demonstrated in anyone's good news were sincere and real. She was so proud of Ryan and adored Amy. Her grandsons mattered so much to her.
I miss Sandy very much, and the fun we had in years past. My condolences to her family.

Praying for comfort and strength for her friends and your Family. Carol was a kind, loving woman and one of Bridesburg's finest. She absolutely adored her "kiddos". May your many happy memories sustain you all at this time.

She had real class and was a wonderful friend. I will miss seeing our local Shirley McLaine lookalike!
