After 40 Days of separation here on earth, Carol Jean joyfully joined her husband of 60 years, Gerard D. "Jay" Ruiz, Sr., in heaven on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at age 78 after a long illness. She is survived by her four (4) children, Geralyn "Geri" Brackin and husband Rod, Gerard "Jay" Ruiz, Jr. and wife Barbara, Stephen "Steve" Ruiz and wife Annette and Scott Ruiz; twelve grandchildren; Nathan, Amanda and "D.J." Brackin, Brant (Kelly), Evan (Kayla), Nicole, Jacob, Miranda, Jeremy (Mary), Madelyn, Ashley Ruiz and Holli Wright (Austin); six great-grandchildren; Brynn, Kendall and Drake Brackin, Eva, Reese and Brody Ruiz and Ivy Ruiz to arrive in September; Brothers Michael "Mike" and wife Delores "Doe" Browning and Daniel "Danny" and wife Kathy Browning; sisters, Brenda B. Garrett and Patricia "Pat" Groves . She was preceded in death and has been joyfully reunited with her parents, Catherine Mae Skeahan Browning and John Eual Browning as well as Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Pallbearers will be Nathan, and D.J. Brackin, Brant, Evan, Jeremy and Jacob Ruiz. Visitation: Thursday, July 9th, 5:00-8:00 PM at Rabenhorst Funeral Homes East. Visitation continues: Friday, July 10th, 10:00 AM at St. George Catholic Church until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM conducted by Father Brad Doyle.
