Carol Ann (Borlin) Webber, wife, mom, Gammy, and friend, went peacefully to heaven on June 28, 2025, at the age of 79. She was surrounded by love and left behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and generosity that touched everyone she knew.
Carol was born on February 19, 1946, in
Everett, Washington, to Allan and Dorothy Borlin. She married her soulmate, Rick, in 1973, building a beautiful life across nearly 52 years of marriage. Their bond was full of love, laughter, and unwavering support.
She graduated from Seattle University in 1969 with a degree in Home Economics Education, originally hoping to pursue a career in culinary instruction. Although her career path changed, her passion for helping others never did. In the late 1980s, she became a para-educator for Snohomish School District, where she found purpose in supporting students and fostering their growth. Her warmth and encouragement made her a beloved figure among the students she worked with.
Carol devoted her life to creating a home full of love and community. She was famous among family and friends (and even strangers) for her beloved chocolate chip cookies. She was also known for never letting a Christmas season pass without a plate of delicious holiday goodies bringing joy to others.
An enthusiastic scrapbooker, Carol lovingly documented the entire childhoods of her four grandchildren. Her books were more than just photos, they were artwork filled with memories, moments, and the deep love she held for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her four grandkids - they were the pride of her life.
She also loved cheering on her favorite baseball teams. Whether she was attending an Everett AquaSox game with her grandson or watching the Mariners on TV, she found happiness in the game and the memories she was creating with her loved ones.
Always the first to lend a helping hand, Carol had a gift for making others feel cared for and loved. Whether through a home-cooked meal, a bag of cookies, a thoughtful gesture, or a simple phone call to catch up, she made others feel important. Her love, compassion, and warmth were unmatched.
A devout Catholic, Carol led her life embodying values that helped her become a shining light in her community. Her willingness to lend a hand in challenging seasons of others' lives displayed the love and care she felt for everyone around her. Her strong faith gives those around her peace, knowing she has gone to Heaven and will be watching down on her family.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rick; daughter, Jennifer (Drew) Butler; son, Rick (Krista) Webber; beloved grandchildren, Trevor and Claire Butler, Ledger and Eelyn Webber; twin sister, Kathy (Lowell) Braaten; nieces and nephew, Laura (Rick) Rathman, Stacia (Glenn) Bell, Darren (Heather) Fessenden; great nieces, McKenzie and Gabriella Rathman; along with many cousins and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her older sister, Nancy Fessenden; parents Allan and Dorothy Borlin; and several other close relatives and friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Snohomish, WA, followed by a reception.
