Carol Zucchetto Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 17, 2025.
Carol Rae Adams Zucchetto was born in 1933 in Los Angeles, California. She passed away on August 13, 2025, in Deer Park at the age of 92. Carol was raised in Spokane, Washington, and lived a long life filled with adventure.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Art Zucchetto and son Michael Patterson. She is survived by her son Donnie Patterson (Darlene) and daughter Kathleen Hecker (Lee); Her step children - J Zucchetto (Denise), Leisa Kosanke (Jack) and Michelle Kinman; grandchildren Amber Parks, Shawn, Brent, Brandon and Jeremy Patterson, Matthew Wilson, Shanna Butler, Mandy Patterson, Janessa Dela Cruz, Anthony Zucchetto, Cameron Zucchetto and Iszabella Zucchetto, Alisha Harada, Miles Kinman, Kyleigh Kosanke Miner, Elizabeth Kosanke; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Carol met the love of her life, Art, at The Shack, where they shared a passion for dancing and were first brought together. In their younger years, every available weekend was spent on their motorcycle, exploring the United States and Canada. Together they enjoyed local restaurants, getting out in nature, and making new friends along the way, but their favorite thing was to camp out under the stars. Carol's number one claim to fame was that she was the winner of Baby Spokane and always showed her award-winning portrait to all her guests.

Carol had a lifelong passion for crocheting, crafting countless afghans and other items for family and friends. Another interest was bird watching, she had several bird feeders and always kept them full. Carol spent many years working in the accounting department at the Deer Park Hospital before moving to Medical Service Corporation, where she retired. She adored her summers at Sacheen Lake and Reeds Landing, where her mother lived, and where she spent her time swimming and boating.

As the years went on, Carol and Art transitioned to a camper, while still traveling the countryside together. They spent many winters in Arizona, cherishing the Oregon Coast, and often ventured into Canada, with their beloved dogs, Sara and Gracie Rae, by their side. Carol's most treasured saying was: "A place for everything and everything in its place." She lived by these words, and her life was a testament to order, love, and joy. She leaves behind countless memories, handmade treasures, and family and friends that will miss her beyond measure.

Burial Service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Woodland Cemetery Deer Park at 3:00 pm.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Carol's residence at 3:00 pm.
