Carole Ann Chase, age 79, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Saint Mary
Medical Center in Langhorne. Carole battled a lot of medical conditions throughout her
life, but unfortunately she succumbed to cardiac failure and lung issues, complicated by
the COVID-19 virus. Carole’s family is so grateful for the kindness and compassion
shown by the medical staff at St. Mary Medical Center.
Carole was raised in Feasterville, and was a 1958 graduate of Neshaminy High School.
She resided in the Quincy Hollow section of Levittown for the past 55 years, and was a
long time member of Queen of the Universe Catholic Church.
Carole was mostly known as a homemaker, and fondly known as the Quincy Hollow
neighborhood Mom! She loved her home, her neighbors, and her community. It was
always her wish to remain in her own home, and her family is grateful that she was able
to do so. Family and friends meant everything to Carole. Her door was always open to
those in need, and she helped so many people throughout her life. If someone needed
a place to stay; a shoulder to cry on; support or tough love; or even a place to hold a
special celebration - Carole was the person to go to. She never hesitated to help.
Carole loved to cook for her family and friends. Most parties and picnics were not
complete without her homemade meatballs and potato salad. She loved to cook so
much that she did some catering for a short time. Carole loved the holidays; and
especially loved when her family would gather to celebrate.
Carole held various secretarial jobs throughout her life in a variety of businesses, and
she also worked as a Unit Clerk at St. Mary Medical Center for a short time. Carole
volunteered for over 25 years at the Lower 6 Middletown voting polls, always greeting
everyone with a smile. She also volunteered as a companion to elderly adults at Wood
River Village in Bensalem, and would often take some of her grandchildren along with
her.
Carole is the beloved mother of William L. Chase, Jr. (Barrie), Scott Chase, deceased
(Barbara), Linda Wainwright (David), and Diana Van Skyock (Brian).
She is the devoted grandmother of Daniel Wainwright, Tanya (Van Skyock) Seibel,
Michael Van Skyock, Matthew Wainwright, Russell Wainwright, Melissa Chase, Kaitlyn
Chase, Ashley Chase, Rachael Chase, Taylor Chase and Ryan Chase; and proud great
grandmother of Rafe, Bryanna, Heath, Darla and Ethan.
Carole is survived by her dear sisters, Patricia Butler and Sheila Ciocian (Jim); and
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. In addition to her son,
Scott Chase, she was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Catherine Herbert, and her
former husband, William L. Chase Sr.
Family of friends of our mother, Carole Chase, are invited to join us on Saturday, May 29, 2021. A calling hour will be held at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, from 9:30 until 11:30 am, where her funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Interment will be held in Sunset Memorial Park, County Line Road in Feasterville.

To the family,
I'm so very sorry to hear of Carole's passing. She was a wonderful and kind lady. I met her through Penny. She was so kind to my husband and I when we moved Penny there over 20 years ago. I got to visit again several years ago when Penny moved back there. Carole was so kind to me. We went out to eat and some shopping. A very nice lady indeed. Please know that all of you are in my prayers.
