Carole Miller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 25, 2025.
Carole Francis Miller, 76, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2025, in Bush, Louisiana. Born on June 4, 1948, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the eldest of three children of the late Ovila Joseph Lajoie and Marie Ange Ouellet Lajoie, who are laid to rest at Saint Stephen's Cemetery in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Carole is survived by her brother, Dennis Lajoie of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorine Humbles of Zephyrhills, Florida; her devoted husband, Larry Miller; and her daughter, Lorine Farrington of Framingham, Massachusetts.

She leaves behind three stepchildren: Andrea Miller of Louisiana and Rob Miller and Russel Miller of Massachusetts. Her legacy continues through four grandchildren: Ian Hall of Massachusetts; Hannah Hall of California; Laurel Hayes of South Carolina; and Clayton Alexander of Florida.

Carole was a woman of strength, conviction, and deep faith. Life wasn't always easy for her, but she met its challenges with resilience and an unshakable spirit. Larry, the love of her life, brought her a sense of safety and peace she had long deserved.

Carole dedicated most of her life to animal welfare, serving as a dog officer in Massachusetts before working for the U.S. Postal Service. She retired in 2007 and relocated to Louisiana with Larry. Their home became a somewhat sanctuary for all kinds of animals. Her strong will and fierce love left an indelible mark on those who knew her-both two-legged and four.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal rescue organization in Carole's honor.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
