Beloved daughter of the late Harry Shenker and the late Bess Friedman Shenker; dearly beloved mother and mother-in-law of Brian (Svetlana) Amira; dear grandmother of Kaitlin and Atticus Amira; dear sister and sister-in-law of Mitchell (Janice) Shenker; dear aunt of Rachel (Russell) Gottlieb and Allison Shenker; dear great-aunt of Elana and Sophia.
Debra was proud and honored to be chosen as a contestant in the 2013 Ms. Missouri Senior America Pageant.
Graveside service, Thursday, September 29th, 1 PM at Chevra Kadisha Cemetery, 1601 North and South Road. Memorial contributions preferred to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry, 10950 Schuetz Rd, St. Louis, MO 63146.

Debbie was always a person who made you laugh and feel good....She will be missed. Enjoyed seeing her at the last few high school reunions.

So sorry to hear this news, but so glad I was able to "get a sense" of Debra as an adult from our frequent UCHS '63 reunion and dinner get-togethers in St. Louis. Don't know what to SAY but wish I did. Hope it helps her kids and grandkids to know that she was loved and appreciated, even by people that missed the opportunity to know her better during her life.
