Carolyn, I am honored to have been your neighbor in Hull and my family has cherished all summers we had with you. Never was there a woman more dedicated to making the world a better place, and I am happy to say that this world truly is better after having you in it. Your legacy will be remembered in those that that knew you, and your service to people and pets alike is to be admired. I will always remember those warm nights you spent with us on our porch having dinner. I am honored to have been in your life and you will be missed by so many.

Wanted to go down to W Street to visit Carolyn because she would be there for the summer, but my dear friend is gone, and I miss her. Carolyn did leave many great memories with me, and she left a trail of good deeds which will be felt by many with whom she came in touch. When I plant tomatoes this summer I will be thinking of, and smiling at memories. P. Koch, Sar. 49

Carolyn was a dear friend of ours for over 40 years. She lived about 10 minutes from us and was always the person who stopped by every three or four weeks just to check in and see how we were doing. We learned so many things from Carolyn, she shared her contacts with us, was the catalyst for us, getting our first dog, showed up at the many concerts and events that I did as well as her unwavering support of young people, women in sports and advocacy for people with disabilities. She was funny, loyal, kind, and to say that she will be missed is an understatement. Love and peace our dear friend.

As an alumnae of Sargent College, BU class of 1965, I want to express my condolences for Carolyn "Cac" Cohen, a member of my class. Cac embodied the term "school spirit" and devoted most of her life to BU and Sargent College. She gave so much of her time and generous spirit to the school and her legacy will always be remembered. Cac, as our class secretary, always sent great newsletters that updated classmates and their shared accomplishments. Class Reunions were always so special to her and she encouraged all to participate and donate to Sargent. A special memory I will never forget was attending Sargent camp and "Snackbar Cac"( in charge of the snackbar). Our class made up a special song for her to sing in our frequent Sargent sing-a-longs which were a big part of school spirit with Cac as our leader. Her devotion, dedication and caring ways made her so special to everyone she was associated with. Thank you Cac for touching my life! Diane Bena, Sargent Class of 1965

Ms.Cohen was a tough cookie in school on the outside, but a warm and caring person on the inside. After 40 years she still remembered me! Asked me if I was still smoking those butts! So glad I got to see her in later years. Rest in peace Ms Cohen.

I met Carolyn as a freshman in 1982. She told my mother not to worry about me and that she would watch out for me. She would often check on me to make sure I was doing ok. She knew my situation was difficult and always made sure I had what I needed to succeed. I have often told people about Carolyn and what a special person she was. I am lucky to have known her and to have had her in my life! Thank you Carolyn! You were one in a million!

I remember Carolyn so well. I first met her when I was practice teaching at the middle school she was attending. We had long talks and she loved what I was teaching. She wanted to go to Sargent College! I had already graduated but we were friends. We went one day with her down the cape to visit the gym teacher she had (Mrs. Parker). Long time ago. We worked together for alumni reunions. She will be missed.

I had the pleasure to know Carolyn for nearly 20 years through her dedication to Boston University. She had an unwavering commitment for and positive impact on generations of students at BU, steadfast in her ability to coach and mentor excellence from everyone, from Sargent College to the Graduate Women's Scholarship to BU student-athletes and even fellow volunteers in the alumni councils on which she served.

I will personally miss her energy and presence on campus regularly. Rest in peace, my friend.

Carolyn was one of a kind. She was my gym teacher for three years at Roslindale High and I had the pleasure of working with her at West Roxbury High. Caroline had high expectations for all of her students and it wasn´t until I became a teacher that I fully understood why she was so tough on so many of us. After I retired, I would bump into her occasionally on Center Street while she was walking her greyhounds and we would discuss our dogs. Carolyn´s heart was as big as the universe and she will be missed.
Rest in Eternal Peace.

Carolyn was the most amazing neighbor to me and my family for six years while we lived on Corey Street. Her kindness went above and beyond. She would leave treats in the mailbox for my kids, bring Sneakers by for surprise visits, invite me (a tired mother) over for tea or stop in to chat when she suspected I needed adult conversation. She was wonderful to chat with as she had the best stories. We moved away from Corey Street two years ago, and we missed having her as a neighbor tremendously. She will now be missed even more. We are forever grateful to have known her.
