Both Carolyn and Larry were instrumental in my life's journey beginning at Alderson-Broaddus as a teammate of Larry and friend of Carolyn. This friendship continued at Fork Union Military Academy where Larry and I coached and taught.
After they moved to Parkersburg our friendship contiuned and meeting together during alumni weekend at A-B was special. Carolyn was always engouraging and very generous when I visited them in their home. I was blessed by their friendship and council in my early years of teaching as a bachelor.
Each portrayed a servant heart in their workplace and impacted many lives by their unselfish giving of time and talent in their respective fields of work. May the family members rejoice in knowing that they are enjoying their Heavenly Father who has welcomed them with open arms as faithful servants in their earthly journey and are rejoycing together in His Eternal Kingdom.

To Scott and Beth,
So sorry for your loss. As a cousin of your dad, I didn't see he or your mom much over the years, but remember them fondly as very nice and special people with many strengths. God surely blessed you with many of their excellent traits. Sincerely, Jean (Johnson) Fanning

Was sorry to hear about Mrs. Edwards today! Actually she was one of my nursing instructors in the 80s at the Wood Co Voc School of Practical Nursing. I enjoyed her sense of humor, she helped a lot during clinical rotations in Mental Health at SJH.
