Sending my condolences to the family of Carolyn. Your loved one was a member of our graduating class of Franklin Class of 1959. Carolyn did attend our last class reunion 4 years ago, and was so glad to see her. My husband had your grandmother Gass's auction last year, & got to meet some of the family. May peace be with all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Hardimon's passing. She was my favorite teacher at East. I remember when I was in her home-ec class and she would let me go to the old Kroger store to get supplies in her convertible Z24. She was a wonderful lady. Recently I contacted her via e-mail to get the homemade pizza receipe we made in class in 1991. She sent me a wonderful e-mail, not only sending me the receipe but remembering both me and my brother and had wonderful thoughts. I will miss her greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Sorry to get Beverly's call and learn of your loss. Carolyn was a good friend in the Red Hats and I enjoyed getting and printing the recipes. We had planned a ride in the convertible this summer, but I am sure she is in a joy filled and happy place with no pain.

Joe, John, Sarah, and Jake,
I was so sorry to hear about your mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. I have so many fond childhood memories. Your mom was such a saint putting up with all of our wiffleball games in the front yard, and of course all of our crazy antics. I remember her as such a kind, loving, patient person. Please know I am thinking of all you.

Dear Kids,
We are so very sorry to learn this morning about the loss of your Mom. I picture her today in heaven as beautiful as she was when I first met her in the late 1960's when she was our St. Clair County judge at our 4-H sewing competition held in the basement of the old Farm Bureau building. She was, I believe, in Green County Extension Service at the time as Home Economist. Your Mom made the most beautiful clothes before she got busy raising you four kids and working at school. Another wonderfu memory I have is of your Mom and Dad both as chaperones at 4-H Camp in West Frankfort before they were married. I remember it like it was yesterday. I can picture them in the lake playing with all the kids and later sitting on the dock kicking their feet in the water. All of us 4-H'ers knew they were in love! I so regret that I haven't seen Carolyn more recently and just sat down to reminisce these memories with her. Please accept our deepest sympathies at the loss of you Mom. I also have such fond memories of the first time your Dad came to our farm as our new young Farm Advisor. My Father so respected your Dad.
