Carolyn Gordon Obituary
She married Richard Gordon April 1, 1995, he survives her. She is also survived by three daughters, Jean Maynard (Jim) of Uncasville, Donna Williams of Niantic, Carol Pond (Lyman) of Quaker Hill; a son Reginald Hansen (Angela) of East Hampton; stepdaughter Katherine Falcone of New Jersey; a stepson Steven Gordon of New Jersey; brother James Beckwith (Linda) of Tucson Ariz.; 30 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her best friend Carole Higgins. She is predeceased by a daughter Brenda Hansen Ike.
The family would like to thank the support from Smilow Cancer Center, Greentree Manor and Jordan Fire Co. number 1. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Smilow Cancer Center.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Joseph's Church, New London. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Interment will follow at Jordan Cemetery.

Our families spent so much time together when we were all young, I and I remember Carolyn as a cool teen with fabulous stuff in her room and how generously she let me in (very unlike having brothers) and allowed me to see teen life in all its splendor. When she had the girls I babysat when I stayed at my Grandmother's.
I brought all of my serious boyfriends to her Mom, June who always fed us and practically took the baked stuffed clams out of the freezer when someone pulled into the driveway. We would take a walk up the street to say Hi to Carolyn.
I am saddened by her passing and very upset that I could not be there at the funeral and mass. I send my love to all the family. This is a great loss for all.

We were saddened to hear of her passing. She had such a great heart full of love for her family and friends. She was such a great friend to all that knew her. She and my Mother In law Carole were always together and always having a good time and they had many. Our hearts go out to all of you and we will keep you in our prayers and thoughts. We will miss you deeply but we are glad you are no longer in pain. Rest in peace until we meet again.

Jean, Donna, Carol, Reggie and Rich,
I was so saddened to hear of Carolyn's passing. She was a very special person in so many ways. I will always remember the great fun we had as teenagers and young adults. When I think of her, I always smile and will always remember her making me laugh. My heart goes to all of you and I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers always.
I am so upset that I won't be able to attend the services because I will be out of town but I will be there in spirit. I will always treasure the memories she has given me. We are all blessed to have had her in a our lives.
