Carolyn Long Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 2 to Jan. 3, 2023.
On December 22, 2022, with loving family by her side, Carolyn "Carol" Long, age 77, peacefully passed away. Carol was born January 28, 1945, in Queens, NY. She was a longtime resident of Maryland, and lived her retired years in Chambersburg, PA. Carol retired from a career as a credit counselor. Carol will be deeply missed, as she touched the lives of many. Carol's passion in life was to make people laugh and feel loved. Carol spent her personal time with family and friends, with whom she shared her love of crafting and socializing.

Carol was the devoted mother of Kristine Long (Tammy), David Long, Jr. (Beth), and Steven Long; cherished grandmother of David Long, III and Allison Long; dear sister of Jane White and Robert Campbell; adored aunt of Danny White (Teresa), Pam Rusk (Gary), Ann Linson (Larry), and Tracy Parker. Carol is also survived by our cherished second family, the Moreau's.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Garland Campbell, her father, Nelson Campbell, her brother-in-law, James "Jim" White, and her second mother, Ruth Moreau. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at a future date. Carol has requested her body be donated to science.

David, Kris and Steven, Your mom was one of the kindest and most gentle women I knew. When you talked to her she listened and made you feel like what you were saying mattered-that is a rare and beautiful gift. Our prayers go up to the Lord for the repose of her soul and for our Lord's peace and comfort for you and all of your family. I sympathy and love, Dan, Deirdre, Johnathon and Peter

Sending heartfelt sympathy to my dear cousins who have lost a beautiful Mom. Your Mom was full of love of family and friends. Her smile gave sparkle to her eyes. She had the gift to make you laugh and feel comfortable. She will be missed! Her memory will live on in your hearts. I hope to hear your stories about Aunt Carol. She is in the loving arms of our Lord. We will keep her memory in our hearts. Love, Beth & Mark

Carol/Mom, for the last 13 years you have been like a second mother to me. Even though we didn't always see eye to eye you treated me like one of your own kids. I will miss the crazy things you would do and say, you made me laugh . Please tell my Mom and Dad I love them and pass along a hug for me. Please include Roe in that hug. I love and miss you, until we meet again please keep them entertained up there !!!!

To my favor Aunt Carol, how I will miss those email jokes, your voice on are calling times, and if course catching up on everyone´s business. I have always missed and spoken about my fun vacations staying with and family during my summer months growing up. Love you and will miss up. Danny

Carol, know that I will always cherish and love you , not only as my friend , my family, but as my sister, and will carry you in my heart forever. So long as I draw breath, I will never forget my promise to you and will wait patiently to see you again. I know at the end you took control , made your decision, and put yourself in God's hands where you are happy and at peace. Tell Roe hi, till we meet again, love you.
