Naples - Naples -- Carolyn B. (Morton) Moore, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Michael J. ("Mike") Moore.

Carolyn was born on December 4, 1943, in Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Frederick and Christine (Vogel) Morton. Carolyn attended Bucknell University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. It was at Bucknell that Carolyn first met Mike, when he was tending bar at a fraternity party. What began as a chance meeting became a lifelong partnership, and in 1966 they married.

After college, Carolyn was proud to work in research and development at Bell Labs and later at IBM in Burlington, VT. She left her professional career to devote her time to raising her two sons. In 1977, she and Mike relocated to Naples to run the family hospitality business. Carolyn and Mike enjoyed a lifetime of travel, boating, and spending long summers at their home in Owls Head, Maine. Carolyn was always impeccably dressed, and she enjoyed ending her day with a crisp glass of Chardonnay. She loved reading, doing needlework, and teaching countless friends to play Mahjong. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, her curiosity, her intellect, and her unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Mike, and their sons: Michael D. ("Mick") Moore and his wife Diane of Naples, FL, and Peter S. Moore and his wife Rahela Abbas of San Mateo, CA. She also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: Madison, Logan, Gregory, and Catalina.

Carolyn's life will be honored with a memorial service at Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests contributions be made to Tumaini Fund USA (www.tumainifundusa.org/donate), Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church, or The Rotary Foundation.
