Carrie B. Alvarado

Carrie B. Alvarado, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the age of 100 years old.

Carrie was born on July 16, 1909 to Manuel and Nemesia Briano in Saragosa, Durango, Mexico. Carrie attended school in Hanford.

On July 3, 1932 she married Jesus Alvarado and they had nine children, because of this it meant that she was always a busy woman attending to the children. Carrie always worked hard, but she always made time in lending a helping hand to her neighbors in any way she could. She didn't let any of her talents go to waste. Carrie was a beautiful mother that will be deeply missed by all her family and everyone that knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Jess and wife Eleanor of Kingsburg, Joe and wife Joyce of Santa Clara and Robert and wife Lucy of Hanford; daughters, Annie Wilkinson and husband Bill of Hanford, Virginia Torrez of Hanford and Gloria Thomas of Hanford her 32 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great and great-great-great-grandchildren; two very dear sisters-in-law, nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her five siblings, she also was preceded by her husband Jesus, her sons, Manuel, Nick and Richard and also a grandson and granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 16 at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Services Chapel in Hanford. Followed by the Mass at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 16 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will take place at the Calvary Cemetery.
