BLUEFIELD — Carrie Jane Batton, age 45, of 233 Perdue Hollow Rd., Bluefield, W.Va., formerly of Elkhorn, W.Va., went to be with the Lord late Monday night (Jan. 19, 2009) at her residence after a long illness.Born November 11, 1963 in Welch, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Howard Edward Sizemore and Ruby Marie Sizemore. She was affiliated with the Baptist faith, was a former CNA having worked last at Glenwood Park Nursing Home in the laundry department. She was a homemaker, and a resident of Elkhorn most of her life.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Katherine Batton, and one brother, Johnny Sizemore.Survivors include: Her husband of 12 years, Mark Batton Sr. of Burke Mt., W.Va.; two daughters, Ashley Brummett of Northfork, W.Va., Megan Batton of Princeton, W.Va.; three sons, Mark Batton Jr. and wife Megan of Bluefield, Va., Joseph Morrison of Bluefield, W.Va., Bobby Brummett III of Bramwell, W.Va.; six sisters, Belva Price and husband Terry of Bluefield, W.Va., Lynn Poore and husband Kenneth of McComas, W.Va., Sandra Crawford and husband Rodney of Monroe County, W.Va., Lisa Dale and husband David of Tazewell, Va., Mary K. Sizemore of North Carolina, Wilma Hill of North Carolina; two brothers, Gary Sizemore and wife Kathy of Rock, W.Va., Ronald Sizemore and companion Cheryl of Burke Mt., W.Va.; two grandchildren; two special nieces, Angela Perkins and Carrie Dale; her best friend, Pat Frazier.There will be a visitation Friday (Jan. 23, 2009) at Widener Funeral Home, Northfork, W.Va. from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. There will be no funeral service.Arrangements by Widener Funeral Home, Northfork, W.Va.To leave personal condolences online, visit www.legacy.com
