Carrie Goodman Miller

Carrie (Nettie) Goodman Miller, 89, of 201 Triplett Road, Mooresville, died Sunday at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Iredell County on Aug. 30, 1917, daughter of the late William and Alice Simpson Goodman. Her husband, Robert S. Miller, died in 1969. She was also preceded in death by her son, William E. Miller, in 2007; by two brothers, Thomas C. Goodman and William F. Goodman; three sisters, Beulah Allgood, Naomi Perry and Margaret O. Freeze. She retired from Troutman Industries after 35 years. She was a life-long member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, she was a faithful member of the choir until her death. Survivors include her daughter-in-law Irene Hodge Miller, grandson Douglas E. Miller and April; granddaughter Carla M. Norman and Hunter; great-granddaughter Parker D. Norman; and great- grandson Niels Spencer Norman. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charlene Hutchings, officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.
