Carter Pittman

Carter!!! One of my very favorite co-workers at Social Services! I sat just a few feet away and we talked almost daily. What a special dear and kind man. One day several years ago, my church had a raffle for which I was selling raffle tickets. The grand prize was $1000 and Carter won! I was so happy my very own co worker had the winning ticket!. Not long after, every few weeks Carter would quietly, and without fanfare, come up to my desk and say, " Please give this to the church offering tray" and I would say, "Thank you!!! I will light a prayer candle for you and your family!" Would you believe Carter did that so many times, ver the years, I believe he gave nearly all the money he won, back-to the church! Such a kind and generous soul. Not long after, I purchsed Carter's book that he authored. It was absolutely fantastic, and his writing was extraordinary! I quickly asked him to autograph it which he was happy to do. That book will be a treasure of mine forever! Carter we will miss you here on Earth, but Heaven is ever sweeter because of you! My deepest condolences to his beautiful wife and family. We say in Greek, "May the Lord remember Carter when He comes into His Kingdom. Amen."
