We heavy heartedly announce the passing of Cassie Lyn Day at the age of 32 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her friends, family, children, and many loved ones in her family home during the time of her passing.
Cassie was a certified medical assistant and went on to complete her associates degree in surgical technology. Her truest calling in life was her homemaker status in raising her two young children, Caylee, 10, and Elijah, 5. She took great pride in both of her children. The simplest pleasures in life brought great happiness to Cassie. Whether it be a visit to the park with her children, sharing a glass of sweet tea and having good conversation with her mother, or laughing with friends, she had the ability to find joy in each day. She brought love and light everywhere she went. Her kind and caring personality was adored by all that she encountered. Cassie is preceded in death by her father Donald Day and grandfather Clyde “Sonny” Day. She is survived by her daughter Caylee Alberson, son Elijah Hodgins, mother Judy (Gary) Carr, brothers Kyle and Brandon Day, maternal grandparents Jimmy Lee and Brenda Scallions, paternal grandmother Linda Day, aunt Angie (Donnie) Huff, and uncles Ronald and Michael Day; as well as cousins Christopher, Amanda and Michael Huff and Stormey Day along with many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Harmony Church of Bartlett with a graveside service to follow at the Bartlett-Ellendale Cemetery.

Cassie, such an inspiration, a precious soul, so gentle and soft spoken, so beautiful and so very strong. Your sweet spirit will live on here in your two gorgeous children. You are free from the pain now, safe in the arms of Jesus. I can only imagine the celebration taking place in Heaven right now. You are loved, Until we meet again.
