TOMEI, Cataldo Carl Born April 3, 1947 in Supino, Italy passed away suddenly on November 5, 2011. Predeceased by his parents Aquilina and Paolo Tomei. Lovingly remembered by Kathy, his wife of 43 years, his daughters Filomena, Barb (Chris Klumpp). Siblings Clara Ruzza, Rosilda Amadio, Arnaldo (Nennette), and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and many relatives and wonderful friends and co-workers. Carl worked on the waterfront in Vancouver where he was a proud union member of ILWU Local 500. He enjoyed playing cards with the boys and visiting with everyone. Funeral Mass will be celebrated November 10, 2011 at 11:00 am in Vancouver at St. Andrew's Parish. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or charity of choice.

Barb, It's hard to believe. It seems like just last summer that your mum was talking to me about her calla lilies and your dad was asking me why I'd want anything other than a career in longshoring. I'm sure he was in good spirits to the end. I'm glad I knew him; thanks to your friendship. Love, Angela Bianco and family
