Catherine Elizabeth "Kay" D'Ambrosio

Catherine Elizabeth D'Ambrosio, also known as Kay, passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 89 in Boca Raton, FL. She was born on June 25, 1934, in Bronx, NY, to John and Emma Brown. Catherine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas D'Ambrosio, her sister Emma Cortez, and sister Agnes Patoney.

Catherine was a woman who embodied love, care, and resilience. She was tough as nails, yet her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her son Thomas D'Ambrosio and daughter-in-law Cheryl, her daughter Joan Harvey and son-in-law Scott, her granddaughter Kelsey Harvey, and her grandsons Joseph D'Ambrosio and his wife Mary, Gregory D'Ambrosio and his wife Lauren, and Thomas D'Ambrosio and his wife Jessica. Catherine was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Olivia, who brought immense joy to her life.

Catherine attended St. Barnabas High School, where she laid the foundation for a lifetime of learning and growth. She cherished her education and instilled the value of knowledge in her family.

St. Andrews Coral Springs was Catherine's place of worship, where she found solace and community. Her faith was an important aspect of her life, and it brought her comfort and guidance.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Catherine will be held in the spring. Details of the ceremony will be shared at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the ASPCA. Catherine had a deep love for animals, and supporting this organization will honor her memory and passion.

Catherine Elizabeth D'Ambrosio, Kay, will forever be remembered for her love, strength, and unwavering care for her family and those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
