Catherine Gaskins Obituary
Catherine A. Gaskins was with us from August 14th 1979 until December 21st 2016 when, due to complications in the operating room surrounding a lost pregnancy, it was her time to pass.
She leaves behind family members in many corners of the world including her mother Jenny, father Mike, her aunt Ness, her brother Rug, and her oldest sons Nathan and Daniel in South Australia where she spent the first few decades of her life. Additionally she leaves behind her two younger sons Kynto and Aizen in America and her devoted life partner Jake (BB) and their infant daughter Zoe. She will be immensely missed by everyone who knew her well.
She was a very loving and giving person, never shying away from helping anybody in need, even at times to the detriment of herself. She was a mother first and foremost. She loved all her children very much, and not a day went by that they weren't in her thoughts. Even though she could not be with her sons as much as she wanted, she spoke well of them and often. Her life was full of stress and difficulty beyond what most people could handle, but she maintained a persevering attitude and endured all but her final struggle with resilience and tenacity. A part of her will continue to live on with her children and in our memories. We miss you SO much Catherine!

Even if we were merely FB friends, I miss her, she was quite the character, a loving mother that would do anything for her kids, she is missed already and will always be remembered by her Mexican friend. R.I.P. Cathy
Tonight we said goodbye to Catherine & baby. Our kids set up a memorial shrine. As a family we sent healing wishes to Catherine, baby and loved ones.

I loved Catherine. My son loved her even more; she was the mother of their daughter--my granddaughter. She made Jake so happy; she showed love for him with every word and tender act. We will miss her beyond measure.

We, the families of The Compassionate Friends, send you our heartfelt condolences on Catherine's passing.
The Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family.
We meet monthly on the first Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 99 W. Main St, Greenwood, IN 46142 and on the third Thursday at the Epworth United Methodist, 6450 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46220.
If and when you are ready to do so, please join us for either, or both, meetings.

You were such a good person and friend. I met you through Facebook with you asking if anyone would teach you how to drive. I responded and yes you scared me a few times lol but you got better each time and we became good friends in the process. I drove you to Indy so you could met your now loving partner Jake. Your children will b so lost without you and your loving partner Jake. I'm saddened to hear the news of your passing . I will have great memories of you always .
